Study of Cytokine Polymorphisms in the Formation of Predisposition to Chronic Rhinosinusitis
Abstract
Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a common disease of the nose and paranasal sinuses with a prolonged, recurrent course, the treatment of which is often ineffective. Two forms of chronic rhinosinusitis are known: chronic bacterial rhinosinusitis and chronic polypous rhinosinusitis (CPRS). CRS is a multifactorial disease that is often associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis, but the mechanisms of occurrence of these pathologies, along with the pathology of the nose and paranasal sinuses, are still unclear. Therefore, it is very important today to conduct additional studies to understand the pathophysiological features of CRS.
